We aim to continue contributing to society and the future by not only leveraging our core technology of "ceramics" cultivated over more than 80 years but also advancing business innovation and portfolio transformation to address global environmental changes and complex social issues.

On April 1, 2023, we changed our English company name from NGK Spark Plug to Niterra and formed the Niterra Group.
The new group name incorporates our organization's desire to become a company that contributes to a sustainable society and brightens the earth.
This aligns with the Expo's goal of finding solutions to global challenges and inspiring hope for the future, as expressed through their theme "Designing a Future Society for Our Lives.“

In the Future Society Showcase project, "Future Life Expo: Future City" at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, we will dissimilate “Niterra’s challenging spirit and transformative DNA” and “Passion put into Niterra” to the world, contributing to the realization of a bright future society.

“Brightening the Future of the Earth” with the Power of “Water” and “Air”

Niterra Co., Ltd.‘s initiative to brighten the earth using water and air involves their “Autonomous Portable Circulation Technology,” which can deliver sustainable resources and energy anywhere, to anyone. At the exhibition, a guide will introduce participants to the circulation of water and air called “CyclusNiterrium,” Niterra’s name for this technology, and an aerial sense device utilizing ultrasonic technology that allows interaction with "Niteon," a life form that thrives in a future world embodying this technology in a virtual room.

What Is “Niteon”?

Niteon is an artificial life form created to make Earth shine brighter, embodying our company’s circulation technology. For example, Suisui breaks down water to produce green hydrogen. Many other Niteons with various technologies will also make an appearance. Visit and find it!

What Is an “Aerial Sense Device”?

This is a fascinating device that uses our ultrasonic technology. With this device, you can touch a 3D image projected in mid-air with your bare hands and actually feel its texture. Not only that, but it also offers a unique experience where only the user can hear specific sounds.
